For more than 165 years, our success has hinged on two things: delivering service safely and reliably, and imagining how we can grow and prosper in the future. What began in 1859 with 49 street lighting customers in Portland, Oregon has grown today into a local natural gas distribution utility serving 2.0 million people in the Pacific Northwest and a water utility that provides water distribution and wastewater services to more than 188,000 people across five states, and a renewable natural gas business that will help decarbonize a variety of sectors.
